November 22-23, 2025

The Maine Neurological Society celebrated another successful Fall Program on November 22-23, 2025, at the Harraseeket Inn & Event House in Freeport. The event drew a large crowd and featured an uplifting evening program, including a reception and a brief business meeting. During this gathering, Dr. Paul L. Muscat was honored for his invaluable contributions to neurology in Maine, particularly his unwavering support for residents over the years. In a heartfelt tribute to his impending retirement, the Resident Travel Scholarship Award was named after him. Dr. Muscat expressed his profound gratitude, saying he felt he had won the lottery in terms of the incredible patients, nurse practitioners, and countless others he has had the privilege of working with throughout his career.

Anthony Knox, MD, President & Megan Selvitelli, MD presented Paul L. Muscat his award.

The Mind & Brain Symposium

On Saturday, we had the opportunity to engage with several speakers who shared valuable insights on a variety of topics. The evaluations for all presenters were outstanding, and we are grateful to each speaker for sharing their expertise, which will enhance patient care in neurology and psychiatry. If anyone has a topic they would like to present next fall, let us know.
